The Main Characters

Zoltán Somogyi – The Victim

Born: September 12, 1978
Disappeared: April 22, 2014 – Siófok
Occupation: Investor, Real Estate Developer
Traits: Arrogant, manipulative, influential – and a dangerous enemy.
A man with many friends. And even more enemies.
Zoltán Somogyi was no ordinary man. He built his empire as a charismatic businessman, but behind the money and power stood a calculating manipulator who would trample anyone to achieve his goals. The infamous Siófok investor was involved in several controversial real estate deals. He made enemies among local entrepreneurs, ruled his employees through fear, and even his closest friends didn’t fully trust him. In April 2014, he vanished without a trace. Many speculated about what might have happened, but eventually, the police closed the case – due to lack of evidence and witnesses.

Éva Kertész - The Journalist

"My name is Éva Kertész, and I’m a journalist. The kind of person who isn’t afraid to speak the truth—even if it makes enemies. I wrote an investigative piece on Zoltán Somogyi. There was just too much surrounding him to ignore: shady deals, powerful connections, missing money. I knew it would be a big story. And so did he. We met that night. He seemed excited—but also scared, like he was afraid of something. He told me there was something he needed to say… but he never got the chance. The next day, he vanished. The article was never published. Maybe someone wanted to silence me. But I never forgot this case. And if you’re here, detective, then neither did you."

Kálmán Sipos – The Business Partner

"I’m Kálmán Sipos. People love to talk about me, as if I’m hiding some dark secret—but the truth is simpler: I always think ahead. I was a business partner, not a friend. In business, money is the only friend you need. Somogyi knew that well, and maybe that’s why he didn’t trust me… just like I didn’t trust him.
We had a project— a massive real estate development that could’ve made us both rich. That is, if he hadn’t disappeared. Since then, everything’s been in my hands, and some people think I had something to do with it. Ridiculous. I make money, not enemies. But what exactly happened that night? If I knew… you wouldn’t be asking me now, would you?"

Zoltán Varga – The Corrupt Detective

"Zoltán Varga. Once a cop. Now… just a man who’s seen too much. Yes, I led the missing person investigation. And yes, the case was never officially solved. Why? Because there was nothing to solve. Or maybe… there was too much.
In a case like this, you don’t look for the culprit — you look at how deep you can dig before someone buries you too. This city doesn’t always want the truth — sometimes, it just wants a story to be over. Somogyi knew something. Something he probably shouldn’t have. And now you’re looking for the truth, too? Be careful, detective — dig too deep, and you might just find your own grave."

Nóra Szakács – The Former Lover

"My name is Nóra Szakács. Yes, I once loved Zoltán. But the man I loved disappeared long before the police ever opened a case.
Power, money, manipulation — it all changed him. At some point, I realized I no longer mattered to him. I was just one of many.
We broke up. It wasn’t easy, it wasn’t pretty, but it was over. Then, one day before his disappearance, we met again. I didn’t seek him out — he came to me. It felt like he wanted to tell me something, but all we did was argue. His last words to me were: ‘It wasn’t supposed to end like this.’ Since then, many have pointed fingers at me. But let me tell you something — if I had wanted him gone, I could have done it years ago."

Tibor Hegedűs – The Investor

"I’m Tibor Hegedűs. Investor. Businessman. And I don’t like to lose. When I invest money, I expect returns. But Somogyi… well, he vanished — and took all my investments down with him.
In one night, I became the biggest loser. And trust me, that’s not something you forget easily.
Yes, I had dinner with him that night. So what? It was a business meeting. Nothing more. They say I was seen near the pier at 3 a.m. I don’t remember that. Maybe I had a few glasses of wine. Or maybe someone made sure I wouldn’t remember. Because if I saw something… that means someone else was there too. And maybe they don’t want me talking about it now."

The First Location

"On a hilltop, the city guards its past,
In its shadow, a whispering memory lasts.
Time carved in stone will not forget,
It hides a secret few have met."

"High above, where wild winds cry,
A silent witness watches the sky.
It knows what happened one distant night—
Ask, and it may shed some light."

Siófok’s highest natural point,
Where Balaton’s carp has never seen the joint.
On ancient burial mounds, the grass grows green,
It’s easy to find—but finding’s not my scene.
