DetActive is an outdoor detective game where you solve mysteries in a real urban environment. Your team follows a specific route, uncovers clues, solves puzzles, and gradually reveals the secrets of the story. This isn’t an escape room locked inside – it’s a real city adventure that lets you explore your surroundings. The goal is not only to crack the puzzles, but also to discover interesting spots around the city, making the game an interactive sightseeing experience as well.
The walk is suitable for all ages, but due to the nature of the stories, it’s best recommended from age 12 and up. Children can participate with adult supervision. The route is stroller-friendly and can also be completed by bike (though that makes it a bit less of a walk :) ).
The game typically takes around 1.5 to 2 hours to complete, but there’s no strict time limit—so you can enjoy the investigation at your own pace. The full route is approximately 3.5 kilometers. For those seeking a more relaxed experience, about half the distance can be covered by car—though doing so takes away from the walking aspect of the game. The terrain is easy and fully accessible, even for families with children or strollers.
The most convenient parking spot for the game is the large parking lot behind the bakery at the corner of Tanácsház Street and Vilma Street. It's free of charge for most of the year. Both the starting and ending points of the game are nearby—only about a 5-minute walk from this parking area.
The game is designed for teams and families, but if you enjoy solo investigations, you can absolutely play on your own. However, it's most fun in a team of 2 to 4 people! There’s no upper limit on the number of participants, but for groups larger than 6, we highly recommend splitting into two (or more) separate teams.
No! You'll receive all the information you need during the game, so you’ll enjoy it even if it’s your first time in the city. In fact, in many ways, the experience is even more exciting when you don’t have prior knowledge of the area.
Registration is required to play, which you can complete either on the website or during checkout. After online payment, you can start the game immediately – you'll receive 24-hour access from the moment the transaction is completed.
One investigation costs 9,900 HUF/25EUR per team, which includes 24-hour access to the game platform.
